Final journal cover - same techniques as the others. This one also has a pocket inside with journal prompts.
Altered journal cover with fish. I really love the way the colors turned out on this - wish I was a better photographer.
Second altered journal cover. Found the bird picture and made a branch from a dictionary page.
My first altered journal cover. Textured paper with Lumiere paints, then rubber stamps and decoupaged fish and butterfly. Finished with Chinese coins. Inside the front cover is a pocket with journal prompts printed on self-adhesive labels.

My first cover! I just got my copy of Somerset Studio Gallery Volume IV and was thrilled to see one of my pieces on the cover and two more inside.
Here's a close-up. I used real seashells, starfish and sand dollar.
Here's the second piece in the magazine.
The name of this piece is "Sailor's Delight"
I was surprised to turn the page and see my little altered book. I didn't know it was going to be included in the magazine.
The cover.
The first spread. The words are from "The Forgotten Merman" by Matthew Arnold.
The middle spread.
The final page from the book which wasn't included in the magazine.
